Recipient-site planning
The blade is used to create the planned openings. Their position, angle and direction help determine how the implanted hair is arranged.

Sapphire FUE combines individual follicular-unit harvesting with recipient channels created using a synthetic-sapphire blade. At Dr Hammad Aesthetic in Model Town, Lahore, the plan is tailored to donor supply, the area to be restored and the intended hairline—not simply to the name of the instrument.
Discuss your treatment optionsUnderstand the procedure
“Sapphire” refers to the material of the blade used to make recipient channels—the small openings where prepared grafts will be placed. It does not mean that follicles are extracted with a sapphire pen, or that the donor harvesting has become a different procedure.
In Sapphire FUE, individual grafts are harvested from the donor area with a punch. Recipient sites are then created with a synthetic-sapphire blade and grafts are placed into those sites. Blade size, incision depth and direction must suit the grafts and the surgical plan.

Beyond the label
The blade is used to create the planned openings. Their position, angle and direction help determine how the implanted hair is arranged.
Sapphire is a recipient-site instrument option. The label alone does not establish better growth, faster recovery or less scarring for every patient.
The donor side remains important: extraction must respect the usable supply and long-term appearance, regardless of the recipient blade.
Your consultation
Dr Muhammad Hammad Saleem personally performs Sapphire FUE hair transplantation at Dr Hammad Aesthetic, with clinical-team support where appropriate. Your consultation is an opportunity to discuss the surgical steps and the supporting team’s responsibilities.
Ask about the proposed graft count, donor limits, alternatives, recovery, follow-up arrangements and total quote before agreeing to surgery. Read the guide to surgeon and team roles.
Patient selection
A receding hairline, frontal thinning or crown loss with an adequate donor supply may be assessed for transplantation. The cause and stability of hair loss need to be considered first.
Active scalp disease, unstable hair loss, unsuitable donor supply or medical concerns may require treatment or further assessment before surgery. Do not stop prescribed medicines without medical advice.
A transplant redistributes existing follicles. It does not create an unlimited donor supply or stop every form of hair loss. Non-surgical options and future reserve may be part of the discussion.

Transparent pricing
PKR 40–70 per graft. The total estimate is confirmed after assessing your donor area, graft requirements and agreed procedure plan. A graft is a follicular unit and can contain more than one hair; graft count and hair count are not interchangeable.
Ask for a written explanation of the graft plan and what the quote includes, including medicines, follow-up and any additional donor harvesting. Do not assume those items are included without confirmation.

Recovery and expectations
Early redness, swelling, tenderness and crusting can occur. Transplanted hairs commonly shed initially; this is not the same as losing the transplanted follicle. New growth may become noticeable around four months, with final results often taking 10–18 months. Individual timing varies.
Follow your own instructions for washing, sleeping, exercise and returning to work. The technique label alone does not determine when your scalp will look settled. Read the recovery and aftercare guide.
Risks include bleeding, infection, reactions to anaesthetic, scarring, temporary shedding, poor graft growth, uneven density or an unsatisfactory hairline. Contact your treating clinic promptly about worsening pain, spreading redness, fever or unexpected bleeding.

Assess the evidence
Ask to see relevant, consented cases with the procedure, graft count and follow-up interval explained. Comparable angles, lighting and hair length make before-and-after photographs more useful. A result from one technique should not be relabelled as another, and an individual patient result does not guarantee your outcome.
Patient questions
FUE describes harvesting. Sapphire FUE specifies synthetic-sapphire blades for recipient channels instead of another site-making instrument such as a steel blade or needle. Donor assessment and careful graft handling remain essential.
Neither label proves that an option is best for you. Sapphire describes recipient-site blade material; DHI commonly describes implanter placement. The planned workflow, donor limits and clinical execution matter more than comparing names alone.
No. Healing depends on the size and number of sites, surgical execution, individual health and aftercare. Claims of universally faster healing or better survival should not be treated as guarantees.

The clinic’s Sapphire price range is PKR 40–70 per graft. The total estimate follows assessment of donor supply, graft requirements and the agreed procedure plan.
FUE extraction can leave small dot scars in the donor area. Sapphire recipient blades do not make a hair transplant scar-free. Visibility varies with healing, harvesting pattern and hair length.
Crown coverage may be considered after assessment, but the area can require substantial donor supply. Priorities are agreed in relation to the hairline, frontal scalp and possible future hair loss.
Transplanted follicles can provide long-lasting growth, but growth is not guaranteed and surrounding native hair may continue thinning. Future management or further treatment may be discussed.
